Life Long Faith Formation

                    Intergenerational Advent Event - November 23, 2014

The E-team at St. Cecelia hosted an intergenerational event focusing on Advent and preparing for Jesus.  After lunch served by the Catholic Daughters, over 100 parishioners joined in prayer, reflection, and activities to begin the season of Advent.  Family activities included making an Advent Wreath, a Jesse Tree, a nativity ornament, or cards for the homebound.  All were invited to tie a ribbon on the prayer wall, which will be placed in the entrance of the church so that more prayer ribbons can be added throughout Advent.  The teens in attendance headed out on a Vittles Stampede to collect food for the needy.  St. Nicholas even visited and shared a story with the children.  The afternoon concluded with the Living Rosary, with adults and children of all ages having a part in the prayer.  The event was a wonderful opportunity for those gathered to focus on their faith and connect with their families.
